Baby cafe
Hi ladies
(can you tell after 3 posts today that my hubby is at work and I'm sat breastfeeding Daisy with the laptop??)
Anyway, I'm thinking I might go to my local baby cafe or breastfeeding drop in centre this week, as I have no friends who have breastfed I thought it might be nice to meet other moms who breastfeed.
Has anyone else been to one of these centres and if so, was it helpful?
Thanks

Re: Baby cafe
Hi
We haven't got a baby cafe here but we do have several breast feeding support groups locally.
I first went when E was 3 weeks old. I was very nervous but was so glad I went.
It was great to talk to other mums who breastfeed and understood the worries and anxieties I had and were able to encourage me.
I am still in touch with alot of the mums I met there 6 years on and I really have made some friends for life and so have my children.
It was agood place to practice feeding in public too as no one there was bothered it was just so normal.
I did my peer support training there and now help at the group and have just helped launch a new one.
So I would definitely go. You will have a great time! :p:
