Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

👋

Well I have decided to go for a ring sling.

As it will be July I need something like cotton as so baby doesn't get too warm (what with our hot summers in all lol! )

I found this one

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RooBaby-Ring-Sling-Baby-Carrier-size-short_W0QQitemZ360133989123QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCarriers_Backpacks?hash=item360133989123&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

What do you think? do you think what she does is alright?

I am not keen on the rings being a gold/yellow colour and I am sure this will proberly fade? :confuzzled:

it says brush alluminium so I'd expect a silvery colour??? But the pic looks gold....scratch

I like it! and a really good price too....Let me know what you think Natasha if you do order - for £15 I might have one too. Wink

Thats a good price hun - very easy to make if you have the time and inclination! but to be honest, by the time you got the material and rings and taken the time to do it, £15 isnt a bad price at all!

I personally prefer the shorter tail, like this one, - especially with younger baby, and you are a skinny minny too Razz

I wouldn't buy sling on ebay- they use cheap thin fabric (seen some made with Ikea cotton) and god knows where they get rigs from-unless it says sling rings.
Shop around WAHM websites, make sure to check what fabric it is- must be minimum meduim weight- otherwise will rip under stress or baby weight.

I got a sling off ebay from Freedom slings. Its good quality material and proper rings. I got the basic bog standard one, no frills as I wasn't sure I would get on with it and didn't want to spend a fortune. It cost 15pounds a year ago, although it might be more like 16pounds now. Its still in really good shape Smile

The only thing was that as the baby got bigger, around 6 months, she started getting too heavy to be carried for a long time in the sling. I have shoulder problems and it pulled on my shoulder. The wrap was much more kinder (but not on the wallet Wink ) just it takes some practice.
