Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Haiti Empty Haiti

With the news that NESTLE were planning on getting their greedy little mitts on to the baby population of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake...there were some real concerns about the plight of babies there. The worry was that Nestle would encourage mothers to move over to their milk. With absolutely no water available and a majority of the Haitian population living under bedsheets in a field, there is absolutely no sanitation either, the introduction of formula milk would be another horrific death toll waiting to happen. Because formula in these situations kills and is deadly... But I was while looking through some photos of the disaster I was very happy to find the following photo. Smile Haiti Icon_cheers

Its nice to know in such a horrific disaster that what comes naturally to women, saves babies. Its also awesome that Sky News have published such a photo and not one of them feeding babies with formula.
