Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Hello, my name is Morgan and i have a nearly 4 week old baby boy Jude. Ive been b.feeding him exclusively since we came home from hospital where they were topping him up with formula due to some health problems he had. i'm finding it really rough at the moment as he's feeding often every hour, sometimes several times an hour, and my sleep deprivation has reached scary levels! so i would like to chat to other bfeeding mums and share support. flower

welcome

The first six weeks think are the hardest and u are nearly through that. He is just adjusting ur supply to his demand and it will settle down.

If u don't have any other children the best advise I can give is sleep whenver he does regardless of what time in the day it is!

Good luck with it and we are all here for a chat anytime. :aww:

As for the sleep deprivation, dont go there - I not had any for nearly 4 years :rolllaugh:

Anyway, enjoy your stay - we can chat away the sleepless nights x
