nights out

hey i need some help. its my birthday tomorrow and i havent had a night out for months so im planning to brave it and try have a few hours of freedom. ive got a 10 week old daughter who will not take to the bottle ive tried every bottle and no luck .
i havent tried cup feeding but as im leaving her with a baby sitter tomorrow i dont think it will be fair to spring a new feeding method on her this late.
how long do you think id be able to leave her for. she sleeps for four hours at night with a quick top up and then she goes to sleep.
im going to leave the baby sitter lots of expressed milk and a bottle just in case. i dont want to leave her if shell be destressed. ah help.

I had this in June for my anniversary - Corey was just 4 months old. I gave him a really good feed before we went out (in fact, i kept putting him on all evening!). When he was very full, we went out, leaving him with my sister.
They had a good play, and she took him for a walk, and when he started to niggle, she put him in bath. he was grumpy when he came out, so she tried him with the expressed bottle i had left - but he refused point blank to take it.
In the end, she had to phone me.
I managed nearly 2 hours! :haha:

'nights out' ??? and they are?!

I am going out tomorrow night too. My mums watching the kids. Thing is she wants to take them after work then keep them over night. I don't think i can do that. Not enough milk expressed! I feel rude saying no when she has offered to watch them. Kaydi will take formula as she was topped up for a while. I don't really want her to have too much of it though.
What do i do? I was thinking of asking her to come here so i can at least feed her when i get home.

I am like kay - i went out for a bit with hubby when i was at butlins this year and bethany was 5 month and she lasted a hour! :iconsad:
One day i will have a night out - maybe before she starts school :haha:

You could maybe leave some milk in a bottle and leave some in a cup and then the babysitter could try a bit of both?

Bethany has never taken milk from a bottle or cup. We had a breakthrough last week - she finally took 3 oz of milk from a cup! Couldnt believe it!

Claire if i was you i'd ask her to come your house instead hun. Are you off round wigan? :aww:

I can`t even manage 10 mins to go & pick my mum up from work

so the evening was...A COMPLETE SUCCESS!!!. went out at 8 and fed her right up until i left. it was the weirdest feeling going out without Erin i nearly didn't go but i'm glad i did. she took the bottle slept well and i danced the night away. very happy

Thats brill! Lucky you jess! I have a friends birthday night to go to in October and hopefully Bethany will be as good as erin was
