Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Chunky milk Empty Chunky milk

Post by tbear Wed Oct 01, 2008 3:47 pm

This is a strange question. I've been breastfeeding for 6 weeks and 2 days now. Every so often i see a few white chunks in my sons mouth after breatfeeding but yesterday he threw up a mouthfull of white chunkies. When i express a little of my milk i can see its a liquid so what is this??
I think it gets stuck on the back of his throat because he's been gagging a little over the last couple of days.

nope, its just curded milk due to salvia (acidy pH) braking it up or when he is bringing it back its due to stomach acids curding it also. nothing to worry x

BABIES :iconpuke: .. and it sounds as though that milk is curdling just nicely...light fluffy and flakey.

I agree with everyone else here! I used to find odd stray lumps in the strangest of places like at the back of the sofa. Wink
