Just make sure you keep putting your baby to the boob whenever your baby wants it, you will get as far as you want!

I didn't reply to this as i wasn't a memeber then!
I was bf as were my 3 brothers it was natural to me as my family aunts etc have all done it.

I was breastfed until I was 3mths. Then Mum had trouble meeting my demands and was adviced to supplement with a bottle, after that her supply started to drop to the point where she switched entirely to bottle. I think exactly the same thing happened with my sister.

My mom did not breastfeed us, I asked her about it, and she says at the time when she had us 3 (24-30 years ago) it wasn't the thing to do

I asked my mum this when I was pregnant as I had no idea, and she said it had been a realy big disapointment that she hadn't been able to. With my older sister she had no help at all from anyone, so didn't know what to do, and then with my brother and me, (we're twins) she'd done all sorts of research, but again had very negative midwives who told her you couldn't with twins, so she didn't manage then either. It was lovely chatting to her about it though, and she's been very suportive which has been great.

I was not breastfed. My mum has 5 children and she says that noone she knew breastfed either.
