Nappy Rash
Does anyone know of any natural or homemade Nappy
rash solutions. Baby has got a bit of a red bum, (probably from the green poos) it's not too bad yet,
but I don't really want to use sudocrem or nappy rash cream as IME it
doesn't help or makes it worse. We do loads of nappy free time, so
hopefully that will stop it getting too bad. Any ideas?

Re: Nappy Rash
No i swear by sudocreme - it has always been brilliant for my two.
The other thing i'd have suggested is warm water when changing and nappy free time.

Re: Nappy Rash
I suppose I could try sudocrem, it's just it never worked with my older daughter.

Re: Nappy Rash
There are a few ideas here!

I never realised breast milk could help nappy rash!
We have used Bepanthen in the past which seemed to help.

Re: Nappy Rash
I can believe that actually. BM is great for cleaning sticky eyes and cleaning behind ears. I'll give it a try. xx

Re: Nappy Rash
I know youre looking for proper 'natural' but I use Method Baby nappy cream which is 95% natural ingredients and I find it effective. Hebe only gets very very slightly red in her creases but it clears it straight up.
Boots stock it.

same here, i swear by the warm water & cotton wool too when they are little instead of baby wipes. My friends little one had really bad nappy rash (was bleeding) & i told her to stop the wipes & use water & it cleared in a few days & never happened again.
Hope it clears soon

Re: Nappy Rash
I've started using re-usable wipes now and just water. Although I must admit I still use normal wipes (eco though) when we're out, I need to get a spray bottle I can take out.

I found good old vasiline does the trick along with some nappy free time.

Re: Nappy Rash
I didn't use wipes at all for the first 6months and now only sensitive ones as they can be quite harsh.
I am lucky that mine have never really had problems with nappy rash as i used sudocreme at bedtime as a preventative.
Hope it clears up xx
