Agggrrhh, fussy feeding position.
My fussy little minx has decided on a new feeding position. She likes to sit upright on my knee, lying against my
tummy to feed. For the last couple of days she wont have it any other
way. It's fine for when we are at home, it's actually a lot more
comfortable, but I can't manage when we are out. I don't mind showing a
bit of boob, but this position I would totally have to bare all, a
blanket on my front wouldn't work either because I constantly have to
hold her head, and my boob to make sure she can breath. And even if I
didn't mind baring all, I need a big comfy armchair or sofa so I can
lie back a bit, I can't do it sitting upright, so even a feeding room,
which I never use anyway, wouldn't work. It's my fault for trying her
in that position the other day.
Any ideas for managing this, or getting her to go back to the normal position.

Re: Agggrrhh, fussy feeding position.
I would alternate her feeding positions at home - just so that she knows she has to!
Every feed, just try her in a different position, but go back to the position she likes next feed so she knows she still 'can'.

I agree with Kay, keep trying her with different ones at home.
Then after put her back to the one she likes.

Thanks for the advice. She's happy back to the normal position now. And we sometimes do the upright position at home which she loves and so do I. :bf2:

No fair. I tried that one at a restaurant while in a sling and she hated it. She was screaming with her mouth full and spitting milk everywhere. lol

Re: Agggrrhh, fussy feeding position.
Isn't that position recommended for babys with colds and stuffy noses? I suppose she would do better with it once her head gets more stable huh?
