Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Hi. I'm asking this for my friend here who is having problems with her 10 month old sleeping.
She
is having trouble getting him to have daytime naps, which wouldn't be a
problem, but she thinks that this is causing the sleeping problems at
night. And on the rare occasion he does sleep in the day, he sleeps
much better at night.
Does anyone have any advice I can give her
for helping him to take daytime naps? I don't have any of my own advice
for her except I do think daytime naps will help the night, as we had
this trouble, but easily got it sorted when we realized she (our baby)
wasn't having enough sleep in the day and she has slept fine since. She
has had trouble finding advice which doesn't involve blaming it on the
co-sleeping/sling wearing/picking him up when he cries, which she is
dead set against.

I'm the same - Corey wont just 'nod off' at home unless he is very tired and he is having booby.
I find if I take him for a walk or a ride in the car, he always nods off straight away.
