Re: b/feeding
Unfortunatly the first for weeks for most women are quite uncomfortable, it shouldn't be unbearable though and if it is there is something wrong.
We all feel the initial toe curling latch, but once on it should be much more comfortable and bearable (while nips get tough).
You wont know until baby is here, but I suggest looking at loads and loads of latching vids and maybe getting some nip cream in and maybe nipple shields for backup if your really struggling.

Re: b/feeding
I know, and I am am sure you feel anxious and apprehension, you want it to work this time so your feelings are totally understandable.
Try not to base your last experiences on what you new experience will be, fresh new start remember

i had heard using a good lanolin cream like lansinoh for a few weeks before baby is born can help. i have used that cream from day 1 this time which helped a fair bit! i hope things go better for you 2nd time round! i didnt have much luck with first baby either (alot of pain!) but this time even though we are running into problems still i have lasted 7weeks. every baby is different
