Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

When i was pregnant with bethany we went to parentcraft and they told us that breastfed babies poo a lot and can be pooing sometimes at the same time as everyfeed. It can literally be coming out of them as they are feeding. Dont no if this advice was right but bethanys never been like this!

When i had bethany I noticed she used to go days without pooing but had loads of wet nappies. I was worried after what they said at parent craft so i read up on it and i'm sure i read somewhere that breastfed babies can go quite a few days up to a week without pooing because the nutrients are used by the body straight way.

scratch So dont no who's right - the book or mw at parentcraft. But bethany can still go a few days without pooing.
