Bethany's Christening
It was Bethany's Christening yesterday. We had a lovely time - i was so nervous but it went ok! Apart from the mother in law trying to take over everything but i made sure she knew who was boss! haha! She doesnt even believe in christenings and thinks they're a waste of time. Stupid witch (thats putting it mild but i wont swear on here)!
Anyway, got loads of lovely presents for Bethany (no one got me anything i was gutted lol!). And the party afterwards went really good. There was about 30 people that ended up coming (half of which were from my home town so was really happy). MIL did my head in though because she was trying to take baby off my family and friends all of the time. Even though she lives round the corner from us and has been to our house twice since baby was born. It was the first time some of my friends had seen baby so i werent happy with her. The last time she tried to take baby off anyone was when my sister was holding her and had just got her to sleep. MIL came over and said 'you'll be going soon so i'll take her off you now'. My sister said 'no you wont i'll be holding her till i leave'. My sister can be a proper cow sometimes and MIL knew to back off haha! Funny enough she never came near baby after that and she never even said bye when she left. God i hate her can you tell! lol
Had my brother and sister to be godparents and i even let my sister hold her as she was being christened and having the holy water poured over her head. So my sister was really happy about that.
Day went really well and i'll post some pics soon. Will put one on here now though....

Re: Bethany's Christening
I believe christenings are really important and it is up to you as a parent after all.
I don't speak to my MIL but can imagine what she would have been like at our christening.
She looks gorgeous in her christening gown.
