Copming to the end of my tether

Cally is just a nightmare to feed. Its like wrestling a baby alligator, she pulls, pinches. She constantly tries to put her finger in my mouth, really hurting me sometimes, scratches my nipple, hits my boob and icing on the cake - bites me sometimes. Its getting me down as I get really pissed off with her, and feel myself getting angry. If I take her off she just screams, then I will put her back on and she does it all over again. I have tried a feeding necklace which does nothing to help.

I'm not going to stop feeding her but I just wanted some hugs

Emily is a bit like this,i cant tell you how many tubes of lanishoh i get though as im always sore. I often feel this way and tell her she doesnt know how lucky she is & threaten to take bibby away.

Just hold on to the times when it is good & find comfort in the fact your not alone & your doing a brilliant job. :bighug:

Hope you're ok! I know it's funny to watch but I know it's annoying when you're the one who's getting the finger in the mouth all the time. Daisy likes to pinch and twist my skin at the moment and it really bloody hurts!! And I do react, I'll say 'ouch!!!' and she'll smile. I know they say not to react but it's hard not to.

its awful isn't it. Lil miss likes to ram her nails into my gums and make them bleed atm if I allow her to put her fingers into my mouth. Shes developed this nasty habit recently of needing to put her hand into my bra to fiddle with the other nipple only she likes to pinch it with her nails and it really hurts. Keeps me awake at night too.. shes also such a fidget, and when shes messing around she clamps down on the nipple with her teeth and pulls it along. Its really painful.

I dunno what to suggest as we are going through it too... But if lil miss is really naughty, I will put her down on the floor and refuse to bf'd her, she'll usually throw a paddy for 10 mins then calm down, come back and feed more "reasonably"...

But hugs though because I too just get so angry with her. :aww: :aww: :aww: :aww:

Did Seren go through the same thing? How did you handle that?

:aww: from me too - connor's not v well, so i'm hoping that's his excuse, but atm he pinches my neck all the way through a feed - its agony!

wish i could suggest something that was guaranteed to stop bad feeding etiquette. don't think it exists though

Have you tried a necklace to distract her? Sorry I don't know what else to suggest :iconsad: It's funny how quickly you forget about things like this!

Squiglet - Seren was a biter but she didn't fuss as much as Cally did. The biting was horrendous and I nearly gave up a few times but managed to see it through. I know I am just going to have to do the same here. Cally bit me the other night and since then my nipple has been very sore when she has latched on (though no visible wound) and to top it off I have a number of blocked ducts today so I really hurt. Am sitting here with my heat cushion and feeding Cally off that side as much as possible
