Sippy Cups
Not sure if this is the right place to put this.
Just wondering what the youngest age a baby can
drink from a sippy cup. I'm hoping to skip bottles altogether. I bought
a tommee tippee sippy cup which is apparently suitable from 4 months,
which is how old my babe is now, but I doubt she'll take it at this
stage. What age did your babies take from one?

Re: Sippy Cups
There is no harm in trying it at this age, with expressed milk or a little water. Its always handy if they will take from one incase you needed someone to look after them!
i personally started Corey at 6 months when we introduced solids (BLW style) and he loved it - still does! He will drink from anything (except a bottle lol!)

Re: Sippy Cups
We started trying little bits of expressed milk in one from 4 months as Brody would never take a bottle. He would only have tiny little bits from it at that age though so it didn't help
But as Kay says it won't hurt to start trying her with it

Re: Sippy Cups
My 5 month old Evie will not take a bottle and screams bloody murder every time we try. We have recently tried the same tommee tippee cup though, while she was sitting in her rocky chair and she was far more co-operative with that. She barely had an ounce, but I'm gonna keep trying. Give it a go!

Re: Sippy Cups
What clever girl. I tried it today wit about 2 oz of expressed milk and she took most of it. The spout shape is good as she sort of gums on it and sucks and it comes out slowly. Bit messy though lol.

Re: Sippy Cups
neither lil miss or Tia really took to bottles. Lil miss had those nuby bottle like things, but with a soft latex spout. Had to really preserver though and it had to be given by someone other than me but she eventually got the idea.

I went straight to a sippy cup as Emily wouldn't take a botle - we used an avent that you can change the spouts over - can't think what the first one is called - got it in boots?
