Pneumonia: A warning Empty Pneumonia: A warning

Hi girls, I have not been feeling well for quite a while and have had a constant chesty cough but I had been ignoring it as I don't have the time to be ill as I have a newborn and 4&5 year old children to look after.

My midwife mentioned my cough and suggested I see my Dr. I did see my Dr and had to give a sputom test and have a chest xray....the Dr rang a few days later and asked me to go see her straight away.

I have 2 bacterial infections in my sputom which are the cause of Pneumonia which if left untreated could have been very serious. I have been prescribed antibiotics and must see dr every week for the next month.

Just goes to show that I should take more care of myself and not ignore what seem like small ailments. I have been so lucky for this not to have been so much worse.

Oh, poor you!! I hope you will feel better soon! :aww:

Please, don't forget taking Probiotics (as youghurts or probiotic drinks, or in a food supplement form) to help your body cope with side effects of antibiotics. One of them is thrus, and taking probiotics will make difference :aww:

And I know where you come from about not taking care of myself Embarassed I'm guilty as charged...

Get well soon!

The strange this is that I don't feel really ill just a bit run down which I thought was normal after having a baby. From now on I will take extra care of myself. As I have realised I am no good to my family if I am ill.

:aww: hun...
I know what you mean...I've been down a bit last few days, I feel like my fuel run out and I'm running on empty tank... I know this is only a matter of days before I get ill, it always happens when I'm short on sleep and have a lot of stress. I'm already so tired I have problems falling asleep No and to make it worse kids decided 6 o'clock is new 7 and keep waking up early... :cryyy:

My cough has now gone and I am not as breathless as I was 2 weeks ago. I am starting to feel healthier each day. I am eating properly too. So fingers crossed I am over the worst :awno:
