Well Brody has had a cold for a while now but it's been getting worse and last night he was up all night . He was coughing but it sounded like he was barking bless him and he cried every time he coughed because it was hurting! :tear:
So we took him to the doctor first thing and he has a respitory (sp?) tract infection.
So he has some nasty banana medicine and having lots of magic boobie medicine too! :boob:

Isn't it awful when they are poorly? Sad

Could anyone put my mind at rest?
He has absolutley no appetite and only ate a few mouthfuls at dinner and then half his tea but then he coughed so hard he made himself sick so has basically hasn't had any tea either Crying or Very sad

He did have milk midmorning but none this afternoon and I'm worrying now he's hardly had anything all day.

He will definately have his bedtime milk but I'm so scared he will cough it all back up again!

Hun is he having many fluids?

Do you feel he is getting worse?


I know this sounds drastic, but if your worried I strongly suggest you take him to the hospital, follow your instincts.

Fluids are very important when they are like this, they can last on fluids without problems.

Go with ur instincts but remember that h is poorly and he will have very little appetite - but he will need to keep fluids up.

And concerns follow Kays advise - they do offer good support.

Well he has had plenty of water and just had a really long feed so I'm going to see how he goes tonight! He has the runs now so I'm making sure he has lots to drink! I'll give the number a call if things get worse.

Kev is upstairs trying to settle him as he's not settling for me! Probably because he didn't have a nap until late afternoon! I better go take over for another go!

Well he was awake most of the night again but doesn't seem in pain, his temoerature is fine, and this morning he seems fine in himself he just doesn't want to sleep! I'm thinking it maybe feels worse when he is lying down! scratch
He has had 3 feeds in the night and had his breakfast and boo0b again so I feel much better now! Very Happy
