Might be moving
My husband has gone for another job unfortunately it would mean moving areas (it is in Poole and we live in Wokingham). No problems from my work front as we have an office I can transfer to 40miles from Poole so we could position ourselves in the middle. However Elle is really well settled at nursery. She gets on really well there, and loves it. I am really worrying about finding another nursery as good as ours, and how she will move. Anybody any advice? Any positive stories? etc.
Thanks

Re: Might be moving
We've just moved to new house and John to new play group. He loves it! This came as a huge relief too us, as we've had no choice where he will go- other school was fully booked and wouldn't accept new kids and we've really wanted John to go back to school ASAP, so he doesn't associate move with not going to play group= whitch would be a punishment for him, lol. Our move happened quite suddenly and fast thou. If you have time it pays off to have look around and ask other parents/ neighbours where their kids go and then do little check on them, like ofsted reports, etc. Then go and see yourself, maybe even have little taster session- to see how little one will feel there and check carers out.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Re: Might be moving
The problem is if it happens we will need to to it quite quickly, but I work nearly full-time (34.5hrs / week), and it is 2hrs drive away where we will be moving so visiting the area, and talking to parents etc, is quite difficult. Taster session prior to moving will be near on impossible.

Re: Might be moving
Nicky I think your very brave!
I havn't been in this situation yet but I know I will be at some point in the future when we are able to move into our own home ( currently living with OHs parents )
I guess taking the advice of checking ofstead reports is what I would do, but I can see you have a problem of it being too far to visit and check things out.
Other than that I do think once you have moved, It normaly all falls into place, children can be very flexible, and as long as she feels confident and happy she should be fine

Re: Might be moving
Thanks for the support. We are going to visit the area on Sunday (as I haven't even seen the areas we are talking about), we are also getting a valuation on the house done on Saturday. So at least we know where we are talking about.
