I'm having Bethany Christened

I cant wait! Spoke to priest today and the local pub which were hiring for free 
and we've now got a date its 22nd June! So if anyone is passing through west yorkshire on that day your invited! lol :group hug:

I'm so excited - i got the christening gown ordered (its being made especially and mums paying so its even better) and sorted the cake out.
None of hubbys family are catholic so at least i have an excuse of why i cant have any of them to be godparents (the real reason being they all live round the corner and cant be bothered to come see their only grandchild or phone to see how she is). Cant be bothered having a slanging match with them about what horrible people they are cos they're just not worth it!

I know exactly how you feel about your in-laws! Kev's mum lives literally up the hill and hasn't seen Brody for over 3 months and that was when we took him to see them!!!! :iconsad:

How lovely & im so jealous, i havent had James or Emily christened as my mum refuses to go to a C of E church & because of a bad experience i wont get it done in our Catholic one, so we are at stalemate at the moment

My sister had to go to church for a full year before the priest wouldnt christen my niece. The priest there isnt the nicest of people and has alienated so many people that lots dont go anymore! luckily my priest is lovely![/quote]
Yes ours wouldnt baptise my eldest as i was unmarried at the time,basically said we werent welcome !
