Post by angpixi Thu Jun 12, 2008 1:59 pm

ive only ever used terry towelling nappies with oz before, its only been lately that theres been as much choice available, ive used the biodegradable ones which are great, for my part we tend to have alot of nappy free time especially in summer!

to get to the point,... there is a scheme in my area offering a voucher to buy reuseable nappies im flumoxed! i dont have a clue which to get! i know some of you ladies have used them and one or two of you seem to know alot about them could you possibly give me some advice?

the ones available in my area are: motherease, onesize, sandys, tots bots, zorbit, tommy tippee, bambino mio.

Hi Ang, me and Helen have just started trying to use reusable nappies. We are both using bambino mio's and I've had a couple of the little lamb's (for best lol! ) I'm still getting used to them, but I think they are really good, and I already feel like I've saved a fortune on nappies! Although, Daisy still goes to bed in a disposable.
Katie is the one to talk to though, she knows the best makes. flower

I havent used them to be honest but i have heard that tots bots are supposed to be good.

I used some old terry ones that you used pins with and made into a nappy shape from a square with my eldest,i have to be honest i found it such hard work

which type do you use katie? ive only used the 'bambo nature' mainly, from the 'spirit of nature' website, but these ones from sainsburys seem good too. its hard to get hold of things like tht round here! the sinsburys is in the next town so is the shop thats involved in the free nappy scheme!

we have pack of Napy ones, you can get them in Saisburys too, I think its Nature , they come cheaper then Pampers lol. We only use 3-4 a week anyway.

Did you check WEN for cloth nappy trials? and http://www.realnappycampaign.com/ can be some help too.

I just found out than Oxfordshire council does nappy scheme: a week free trial, hmpf.

I know this is quite an old post but just thought I'd say that I've been using a combination of little lambs and tots bots since my DS was 6 weeks old (too small before then) and they are brilliant.

So easy to use and simple to store and wash.

I think they are brilliant.x

Tots bots are very popular and since they have started to supply mother care stores they seem to take longer to fulfill their orders.

Little lamb liners are brilliant really soft and fluffy. I actually made some liners out of a fleece blanket which was the same sort of material as the LL liners and they work really well.

It was £3 for the blanket and it made 20 liners. Bargain lol
