Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Drinking whilst BF Empty Drinking whilst BF

Hi all

this may be a silly question Razz

I have read on other posts that its ok to have a glass or two of wine whilst BF. And that the rule of one unit per hour applies, but does that mean...... if i had 3 glasses of wine and started at 3 and had a glass every hour then itd be ok to BF at 6, or finish drinking at 5 and then wait till 8?

Thanks

SJ

Hi

this link might help

http://www.kellymom.com/health/lifestyle/alcohol.html

I have breastfed whilst having one glass of wine with my dinner like it says in the article if you are sober enough to drive you are ok to breastfeed.

If you drank enough to make you drunk say on a night out then i would wait but to be honest if I drink more than a glass of wine atm I would be asleep and not able to feed!
