Getting a bed
We want to get Ellie a bed. However I have decided I would rather get a full sized bed than a toddler bed (especially if I end up lying with her at night, but also so that I don't end up buying a load of bed linen that will not be used for very long etc etc).
The requirements are low, be able to have the Argos bed guard used on it (we have this already for taking with us to in-laws), and have a soft solid head board. Not too expensive.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Getting a bed
I got mine from Netto for £19.99, and then I bought a budget mattress for each, as i figured there would be plenty of toddler accidents, and i would get a decent one in a few years.
In hindsight, i would have bought decent matresses, as i use waterproof covers anyway, and they are not that comfy for when i have to lie with them (fine for boys as they are lightweight!). Mine are also tubular frame/headboard, and i have to bolster them with cushions, so like you said, soft headboard better.
I am glad i didnt get a divan as i can fit 4 big toyboxes under each bed, which is a Godsend in a LO's bedroom.
I got the full size single, and im glad i did. I think it is only worth getting the toddler bed if you got the cot that converts or you will be able to get more use out of it in the future.
All that said, I dont have a clue which bed combines all of this, sorry
but if any of the pointers help, my ramble was worth it

Re: Getting a bed
Thanks for your thoughts, especially about under bed storage. All the online stores I am finding difficult to search to meet that criteria. All the bed superstores I have been round have a very limited single bed range TBH.

Re: Getting a bed
Thanks the mattress arrived today (bought a relatively cheap on from Argos). The bed linen we have bought is waiting for me to pick up this afternoon from Tesco (as we don't have any single bed linen at all!), Just got to wait ages for the bed. Exciting times, she is getting a big girl now!
