Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Had my first ever migraine today Icon_sad I feel sorry for anyone who has them frequently, it was awfull.

I started seeing swirls and weird coloured shapes in my peripheral vision, which went which scared the life out of me!

It went and all of a sudden a wave of intense pain started at the front of my head, and my god it was the worst thing I have ever experienced ( apart from birth, though id rather had done that! ) and Ifelt sick as a dog, was sick Had my first ever migraine today Icon_puke and had to go bed and felt fine when I woke up after an hour.

I realised I had one because all I had all day was two packets of crisps and a few bits fo chocolate Had my first ever migraine today Icon_redface I had a dicky tummy and didn't fancy anything else, I will not be making that mistake ever again

:aww: I feel for you - they are horrid!
I used to get them regular a couple of days before period, but i am generally ok when pg and bf - apart from the one i got taken in by ambulance with when pg!
The lack of food is most likely the trigger.
mine are an oestogen deficiency just before period - which is why i think i am much better when pg.

Yes I do think it was because I didn't eat properly No

I really feel for those who get it a lot, must have been horrible, would of dreaded a period if that happened each month pale

Thats one thing i love about bf - no periods = no migraines Razz
Ive read about an oestrogen gel that you can apply directly to skin about 2 days before period which can really help migraine sufferers - so im going to try that when the dreaded things return!

Eat well and stay well hydrated - hopefully its a one off for you :aww:

I get them when im pregnant and yes they are horrible, The 1st time i had one really scared me cause 1st my tounge and lips went numb and it went up my nose too then i got pins and needles in my hands then came the lost vision then the pain in my head!!! needless to say i went to see the hospital midwife, i was really scared as no one knew what was wrong it took the dr's 3mths to decide to put it down to migraines. Thank god they stop within of couple of weeks after having baby. i found to much milk, cheese coffee and chocolate all brought one on!! I feel so sorry for people who have one every mth pale
