I think we've hit the 16 week growth spurt, I wasnt looking forward to this one as Ive heard people say its the worst.
Daisy was 16 weeks yesterday. The past 2 nights she been waking quite a few times in the night and she doesnt seem to want to come off the boob at all.

Re: uh oh
:aww: It took a lot of strength for this one - definately the biggest we had!
It also co-incided with my pretend period, so I had milk dip too :icondoh:
All i can advise is sit tight, dont make any plans for a few days, and just keep nursing !

Re: uh oh
Well it looks like I'll have to eat lots of flapjacks to help my supply. The things you have to do.....
By the way, does anyone have a flapjack recipe? At the mo I buy them from somerfield at £1.80 a throw. They are gorgeous, but I ought to make some really...

Gem just found this recipe on annabel karmel website for porridge buscuits...
Now Gran only works in imperial measurements...
Ingredients:
8oz marg
8oz caster sugar
2 tablespoons Golden Syrup
2 level teaspoons bicarb of soda
2 level teaspoons hot water
8oz self raising flour
8oz Porridge oats
Method:
Melt marg, sugar and syrup in a pan.
Mix hot water and bicarb in a cup and add to mix. Should go all frothy now.
Put oats and flour in a mixing bowl, add melted ingredients and mix well. Roll into little balls and flatten them slightly onto a baking tin or stone.
Bake at 180 until golden brown. Usually about ten minutes.
Slather in melted chocolate. I swear by Tesco value cooking milk chocolate for these. Is cheap as chips and delish. My gran just puts choccy buttons on top of them as they come out of oven and leaves them to melt.
Makes 16 or so big biccies xx

Re: uh oh
75g of butter or margarine
50 - 75g light brown sugar
1 tablespoon of golden syrup
175g of porridge oats
1. Put the butter or margarine, sugar and golden syrup into a saucepan and stir over a low heat until the fat and sugar have melted.
2. Add the porridge oats and blend thoroughly.
3. Press into a well greased 18cm square sandwich tin.
4. Bake in the centre of a moderate oven at 180c or 350f or gas mark 4 for 25 minutes or until evenly golden brown.
5. Mark into fingers whilst warm.
6. Allow to become almost cold in the tin before removing.
7. Enjoy!
To vary it, i use other things sometimes instead of syrup - honey is my fave! (honey and raisens is to die for!) I just buy a huge bag of supermarket own brand oats - its great!
oh, not on my waistline though. Hmpf
