should i be following babys lead?
bethany is 10 month old and some days is going a very long time between feeds during the day. For example, this morning i fed her in bed at 8am then took her down stairs. She hasnt wanted to :boob: all day! I have literally just fed her now but even then she only fed for a few minutes. I have only let her go this long a few times. Usually i will get hold of her and offer the breast which she does usually take.
What should i do - just keep offering the breast every few hours or do i just follow bethanys lead and wait for her to let me no she wasnts it?
adam as accused me of offering the breast too often when its obvious bethany doesnt need it or she would make it obvious that she wants it :iconsad:
also on a different point - he says that i shoudnt keep using :boob: when shes upset and should try to console her in other ways first (which i dont agree with him and i dont see anything wrong with using the breast to console her). just wandering what you think of this?

Im not quite at that stage - but if we are busy, Corey certainly can go long stretches now in the day - and then other days its every 1/2 hour!
I just go with his lead at the moment, but i do sometimes grab him and stick him on!
I personally am happy to use the boob for comfort! :boob:

TBH, I think men can get a bit jealous that it's easier for us to comfort our LO's than them. I dont know about everyone else's partners obviously, but Shane has said the same thing to me, he said I dont try to console her any other way than to :boob: , which does console her, so why try anything else?

Re: should i be following babys lead?
I'm like Kay.... sometimes lil miss feeds every half hour..other times, like going out, she can go 4 hours or more without boob... longer if she has something to eat and some water... But lil miss likes boob before naps and after food. So she tends to be quite regular and demanding still
As for the comfort factor... psssf... I do that all the time... I'm just lucky...although DH is jealous as he has freely admitted, to the fact that I can get her to calm down immediately.

Gem & Squiglet i think adam is a bit jealous tbh because when he has tried to console her it takes ages. And booby takes seconds - so like you say gem why not?! :aww:
