Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Hi, I'm Mary, mum to Rhianna 7 and a bit months. We're both loving breast feeding, and now she's loving baby led weaning, I love it too, its so much easier.
Lots of mums I know stopped BFing at either 6 weeks or 6 months, but so far I cant see a reason to stop just because you reach a time limit. Apart from the biting thing, (see other thread) its going realy well now. We had problems to start, a very negative midwife in hosp who told me I was making my baby ill by not forcefeeding her a bottle of formula, but we got some good advice eventualy and although we had to use nipple guards for quite a while, we're still here. :boob:
Sorry this was abit quick, will hopefuly get to know you all better soon, but I'm off to bed for an early night.
Chat soon
Mary
Ps. hubby is called Chris

Seems we've cracked the biting thing, well Rhianna did, she just stopped.
I live in Fareham, so a way from Farnborough, if you ever fancy a trip to the beach, we'll meet you for an icecream.
