But AF is all over the place with BF, so I assume that would affect things a little when we are going to TTC if things are the same?

Mine returned properly at about 8 months - but you are still fertile even if your cycle is irregular. Once your little one is taking in more solids, and night feeds are a little less, you are more likely to conceive.
If you are actively 'trying' ie plotting ovulation etc, its a little harder, but if you go with the flow its not a problem lol!
