Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

god this is sooo funny now!!!

Corey treats me as his personal 'milk maid' now!

He points at which boob he wants, or lifts/lowers top wherever we are.
I point to a boob and he shakes his head. I point to the other and he nods and says 'yeah!' :haha:

I was on my hands and knees putting clothes away earlier, and he crawled over and helped himself!! (i was naked top half, looking for pj's lol!)

He stands up between my legs and helps himself, often dancing along to whatevers in background.

I have loved every stage of :boob: , and everyone says it gets better, and it really does!!!!

You are so lucky! Not all mothers get the chance to breastfeed, it is a very rewarding and accomplishing feeling to breastfeed your baby.

I know this is an old post Kay, but I could write the very same thing just now about Kacie. She knows exactly which boob she wants and shakes her head if I offer the wrong one. I love it, but the pulling my boob out in public is not so great Embarassed Razz

Tell us about yourself : I'm a SAHM to Kacie aged 10.5 months. I'm very into an AP way of life, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, etc. We're coming up to one year and I'm looking for places where I won't be looked down on for extended breastfeeding. I have no intention of weaning until Kacie wants to. We're also traying to conceive baby no. 2, so really hoping to tandam feed and will be looking for support to do this too.

I've struggled a bit with Ben cas he is so active on the boob and thinks it'll follow him everywere he goes but i'm slowly getting used to it now an am really starting to enjoy it except when he tries walking off with the boob in his mouth that really does hurt pmsl

Me too - babe, knows exactly what she wants and when she wants it. She has now mastered the art of slipping her hand in my bra and popping out the nipple she wants (she is currently 20 months)

Now I'm having to get strict - I'm trying to teach her always to wait for mummy to get boobey out first.
