Re: Babywearers!
We do
To be honest though, all I really use now is our Pikkolo, Babyhawk and Rose & Rebellion now. I did give wrapping a go but I just like the easiness of clicking a buckle or 2 or simple tie on the Mei Tai
I did love the stretchy wrap when he was teeny though. So cosy

Re: Babywearers!
I had to stop carrying lil miss. She got heavy and my back/shoulder has arthritis in it. The carrying the extra weight was starting to cause a lot of pain. But I miss the easy of just flinging her up on my back, especially as we live in an apartment block, 2nd floor without a lift and she's a lazy bum who likes to be carried upstairs still.

Re: Babywearers!
Ooo a few then
Helen why not try Mama Natura and pop it on there? you might then be able to use it towards a new one?
Jools I have yet to try a buckle tie, what do you think of them as apposed to a mei tai?
Squiglet thats such a shame, do you think you will wear another baby?

Re: Babywearers!
Well I love both mine but I have to say the Pikkolo is my favourite. Slightly more expensive but it is soooo comfortable. I wouldn't know it had buckles put it that way! The R&R is gorgeous and comfy too but not quite as perfect as the Pikkolo.(Can you tell I love the Pikkolo)

Pikkolo sounds fab! I have been looking at a buckle tie but wasn't sure.
I will have a look!
You have any pics wearing it?

Re: Babywearers!
I'm using a Connecta, and I looooooove it!
I've never mastered feeding in it, but I don't think we started trying soon enough. A friend of mine swears by feeding in hers while walking round.
I tried a kari-me as well - very comfy, and easy to feed in - but I couldn't be faffed with the tying.

Ooo connecta ive seen quite a few of them around the net.
I have a mei tai but I guess the feeding position is similar (upright) I only manage to feed when shes lower in this while walking round.

Re: Babywearers!
Mee! I've been wearing my girls since the were just 4lbs each. I use a Dolchino baby wrap for wearing them both at the same time, and I use a close baby carrier for carrying them one at a time. My husband has a beco baby carrier and when we go out together he will take one in the beco, and I'll have one in the close
I am usually on my own, though so whenever I go out, it's usually the dolcino that comes with us.

Re: Babywearers!
I have been known to be partial to a bit of babywearing!! I have quite a few, mainly mei tais, wraps and buckle tais.
for baby I'm going to sell some and get-
a babyhawk
a stretchy wrap
a ringsling
a silk indio
and aqua silk waves - my dream sling!
oh and I've already got a beco butterfly - these are really good as you can take the sling off and give to your OH with baby still in there
I'll be keeping my favourites too
And the wrap on my profile page is staying too

Re: Babywearers!
I still wear my daughter at 20 months. First when she was tiny I went down the BabyBjorn route, although in hindsight I wish I'd been brave enough to break away from the big brand names and get a nice sling - ah next time.
Anyway after about 6 months of having no wearing option because babe was too heavy for my back in the BabyBjorn, I realized that I really missed carrying her and wanted to find another solution. I now have a mei tai and its fab - to be specific its a Baby Hawk and I love it. So does babe. I can put her on my front, side and back and even Breastfeed while she is in the front.
Can't get hubby into using the BabyHawk though, think its just too femanine for him to deal with.

Re: Babywearers!
Ooo have you looked into a half buckle mei tai?
From what I have seen, men feel these are abit more manly.
If you go to natural mummas, they have great ones second hand come up in the fsot areas
Or if you have the money, there the ergo?
