call the peroxide police!

This is the best way I can describe our nappy bucket yesterday, its never smelt like this. Her wee is so strong ( I wash every two days) it smells like the ammonia smell with hair dye. It made me squint I tell ya!

What has caused this? She has had a tooth pop through this last week (my nipple discovered it call the peroxide police! Icon_rolleyes

I striped them last night, so hopefully it wont happen again. Oh and I use ecover and didn't find that there wa much detergent build up whenI stripped them, so can only put it down to her toothy! call the peroxide police! Icon_neutral

Yea I'd blame the toothy, it can make the nappy reeeeallly stinky call the peroxide police! Icon_pale

Apparently the increase in drool can increase the acidity in the urine...so I've been told. This would account for the amonia smell. blugh...

White vinegar is absolutely brilliant for these things...Have you tried keeping the dirty nappies in a white vinegar/water solution?

Well I use white vinegar in the conditioner draw, but im not keen doin a wet bucket simply because Olivia would play with it call the peroxide police! 884789
