what time do you eat dinner?
I'm trying to work on Rhianna's sleep, (following the no cry sleep solution) or lack of sleep should I say, and one of the 1st things is a consistent bed time. That bits going well, she goes to sleep happily now anytime between 7 and 7.30, after I start her bath around 6.30ish. She used to cry/feed on off to about 9ish, 10 sometimes, so I'm very pleased.
I'm interested in what other mums do about evening meals. Now she's showing more interest in food, I'd like her to be part of our mealtime, but her dad doesn't get back till 6ish so if we eat then she goes to bed with, not a full tummy, but with undigested food in it, and its a bit of a rush. So I was thinking of having my dinner with her a bit earlier and DH can have his later alone.
We've got other things to work on at the moment, but I'm just interested in what others do.

Re: what time do you eat dinner?
Emily and Connor tend to have dinner around 5-5.30 and me and OH eat at 7-8ish. There are days when we all eat at 5.30 and OH eats on his own. Tend to make a point of all eating sunday roast together as we are all there!!
Emily gets ready for bed at 6.30 like Rhianna and is in bed at 7ish.

Re: what time do you eat dinner?
We have bit different shedule.
Because how my husband is working we usually it around 1pm our main meal, and Maya has a nap. Then around 4pm both of mine have crackers, apple and cheese/ham, or toast, and at 6.30-7 they get supper- most times its a some spaghettti, or eggfried rice with veg, or frankfurters with veg, or pancakes, or waffles. and in bed at 8-8.15.
If DH is working early shift- he would be back after 2- Maya gets snack before nap and dinner after she wakes up around 3-4 with us and then supper at 6-7.
She is bf before nap, after for a while, around her snack, and before bed, then when I go to bed and occasionally at 3/4/5 in the morning- its changing recently.
We always have at least one meal together during day. It takes a bit of working out but I think its very importand for us as a family.

Re: what time do you eat dinner?
Everyday ( apart from when we are at friends ) we have a routine :-
3/4pm I will start dinner, It will normaly be ready by 430/5pm
We are then finished by 530
Then Oli has a bath at 6/630
In her own room now, which shes in by 7.
It was abit hard to begin with, going in her own room did scare her to be honest, but I kept going in and reasurring her.
I then realised that comfort and praise really works, I squirted breastmilk all over this teddy she had ( breastmilk is her comfort), gave it to her to cuddle and layed her down while saying good girl, night night.
It has worked, she goes down now pretty much everytime and thats just in 3 days.
She gets up a few times in the night, but shes not hungry.
We have a meal together near enough every evening, up at the table.
I find it to be a very important part of her routine.
