topic 10 Hospital yesterday - updated

I had a check up at the hospital yesterday - I have a damaged eardrum after an ear infection about 15 months ago.
Anyway, the consultant said that damage hasnt escalated at all, however I am more succepatable to ear infections - and each one could spread the damage. I have to go get antibiotics at the first sign of an infection, and if the damage gets any worse I will need surgery. And I also need 6 monthly checkups for life - sooner if i get any infections.
He said that without the antiobiotics and (possible) surgery, The infection could enter the brain. Shocked .

Im a bit freaked out really. affraid

Its the start of another infection, so i got antibiotics, so closely followed by a dose of thrush no doubt Neutral
He said the ear isnt infected yet, and the eardrum has not changed, so hopefully the antibiotics will prevent any further infection.

Excuse me while i feel sorry for myself lol :cryyy:

had to go back to doctors today - the antibiotics werent effective and there is now a build up of fluid behind my ear.
I have different antibiotics and tablets to try and get rid of fluid - apparantly have to prevent fluid getting infected. Shocked

And to top it off. Ty has chicken pox :cryyy:
