Fortifier for Bm to increase weight gain.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any info on fortifiers for expressed milk. Kaydi is not gaining enough again and i fear they are going to ask me to top up with formula again.

Lyndsey Bradley who's doing the just call me daisy messaged me and mentioned that she adds a fortifier to expressed Milk. I had never heard of it. Its quite annoying really as surly the pead could have suggested this to me rather then telling me to top up with formula.

Will i be able to get this on prescription from the pead instead of giving her formula? I think i will suggest this to them on Wednesday and see what they say. Hopefully she will have gained enough for us not to need it but we will see.

Thats quite interesting, especially the second one made from human milk. I doubt they would have prescribed it for us though. Its good to know about it though. In case others ask.

The good news is that Kaydi has put on 7oz so they are not worried and have said i'm ok to keep doing what i'm doing. So breast and one expressed bottle a day.
