Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times
* Baby will latch and unlatch, fussing in between

Which breast pads? Empty Which breast pads?

Post by rhi'smummy Sun Jan 03, 2010 1:48 pm

Suggestions please. I know with Rhianna I used breast pads for quite a while, and found one lot far better than the others, but I cant remember which were the good ones. I think it was the boots own brand I liked, and didn't like the avent ones, but it could have been the other way round.
What about the washable ones? I really didn't like the avent ones, but didn't try any others, has anyone found any washable ones really good?

I use boots reuasble? well the brand they sell there, I used to use tommie tippie disposibles but again cost overtime etc.
Although they were the only ones that never stuck to my nipple, horrid in the begining when your nips are sore!

At first I hated reusable as they are stiff first couple of washes but after mould just fine.

Putting them in the washing bag supplied is a must! or you might find one blocking the washing machine pump lol like I did Which breast pads? Icon_razz

used disposable Tommee Tippee with Emily, never leaked or stuck they were brill. Look out for when they are half price (often in Tesco & Boots) & stock up. I found the cheaper ones needed changing sooo often it was a false economy.

I used Mothercare in the beginnig and put a bit of Lansinoh(Sp?) on them to stop them sticking but they were bulky and gave me a funny shape if I was going out!!
I did like Johnsons and Johnsons aswell as they were very soft and thin but very absorbant. I never tried any reusables.
