Breastfeeding tip : Recognising a growth spurt

* You feel as though you haven't got enough
* Baby getting upset at the breast (though can be a sign of other common problems)
* Baby is breastfeeding often or almost nonstop (feel like baby is always wanting to feed)
* A baby who was previously sleeping through the night is now waking to breast feed several times

topic2 Feeling a bit low

Post by kay Fri Mar 21, 2008 11:08 am

Im feeling a bit low atm, i dont know if it is because i have been ill since weekend and i am run down. Well, i am hoping it is that, and not the start of PND. Having had it severe after Tyler, i really dont want to go down that route again.
I guess i have a lot on at the moment, boys are playing me up, Dave not here much with work and trying to set up new business, and im trying to juggle 3 kids and house while feeling poorly - as well as BF (which at least makes me sit down and relax!)
We are going to my mums for weekend, and its Jamies birthday monday, so hopefully we will have good weekend, and next week might look a bit brighter!

:aww: Does sound like a bad week for you, just wanted to say that breastfeeding has shown to reduce the effects of pnd and baby blues.

I think its just a bad week getting on top of you, you have done so well and you seem to be in good spirit and proud of what you have achieved, keep going hun and soon you will be much happier again x

:aww: Thanks Tasha x

I havent been able to get out this week with feeling ill, and my sleeps been affected etc, so hopefully when im fully better things will be brighter - im one of those that hates being stuck in - especially when kids are off school, i like us to get out walking and on the beach etc, and they play up when stuck in the house all day.

And im having hair cut tuesday - that always cheers me up! Razz

:aww:
Little birdy said to me that Mr Dave will be at home for few days over the Easter: hand older boys to him, send out looking for Easter bunnies, daffodiles, mushroows, whatever and you snuggle with little MrCorey and bf and have plenty of sleep and cuddles.

And Wahoo for hair cut!

:aww: Thanks for the hugs girls :aww:
I do fel as though i have a bit more of a sense of humour today, so hopefully things are looking up!
I have Mr Dave most days next week Wink so that should be good, and i'll try and help him with the stuff for the new business so at least we are doing something together rather than him going out every afternoon to do it.

I am feeling much better this week!

I think it must have been a combination of feeling ill and run down and hormones.
And jamie is being much better behaved this week, i think turning 4 must have been the magic cure!

Thanks for all your hugs and support :group hug:
