Night waking - yet again

We had problems previously with Ellie waking during the night, then it settled down, and then it started again, and last night (and several times last week) she is waking several times a night. She wants to feed each time, stops, but then when I try and put her back in the cot wants to feed again. I ended up leaving her crying in her cot this morning at 5:15 as I was cold and tired, after having been up with her for an hours already as well as been up with her for 40mins at around midnight. Which finally prompted OH to go into which caused her to settle almost immediately.

Any suggestions. I think the cause is teething (I think her bottom eye teeth are finally trying to push through).

maybe its just a comfort thing, or teething, i dont know what to suggest. i read youve been on hols? could be just the changes of environment? we co sleep which makes it easier though i know thats not for everyone. mind you she just could be a lo that wakes easily! aeryn who is 2 wakes loads more than willow who is only 4mth!! i dont suppose this post helps much but at least you know youre not alone

If she settles when her Daddy goes to her try a few nights of only him doing it! Then she might think this is not worth waking for if there is no booby there!
We did this with one of ours they soon gave up and slept!
Means OH is in fro a few sleepless nights but would be worth it if she settled!

a bad habbit of mine is to put her in bed with me and lay down to feed her, it makes get back into a deep sleep so i can put her back. (sometimes i leave her in tho till morning )

For two weeks Oli has slept all night, though she has now stopped breastfeeding.

Before she stopped she did sleep all night a few times, I got a teddy and squirted breastmilk all over its head, gave it too her to cuddle, and now she wont be without it when she goes to bed.

She was using breast milk as a comfort so I thought if she could smell the milk then she would be ok, and it worked.

I would def think twice or three times before allowing my child to CIO.No matter how old she / he is.

If you think she is teething I would siggest using pain relief or herbal/ homeophatic remedy.

I convinced hubby to go in and try and settle her last night when she woke (around 4am as I had given her some nurofen at 6:30 as she was in quite a bit of pain from her teeth), and she settled really quickly and didn't even ask to be picked up. So we are going to try that again tonight.

We are already using Ashton and Parson before bed, and last night I had already given her some Medised at midnight and didn't really want to give her another dose so soon (especially as she didn't really seem in pain).

Oli has 4 bottom 4 top and one of her molers are poking through, it really effects Oli and its the only time I ever give her medicine, but medised is brilliant stuff!

Last night was even better, she slept through until 6:30. Though I did give her some nurofen at 7:30pm (and a 6:30pm the night before), which I think has made a big difference but obviously I can only do that 1 more night if she needs it due to the restrictions quoted on the box. I had to go in at 6:30 as hubby was in the shower, I gave her a beaker of milk which she had some and was then playing. I put her back in the cot and she was qutie for a few minutes before crying again. By which point hubby was out of the shower and I Sent him in. She settled very quickly and went back to sleep until I went to get her up at 7:20. Hubby definitely has the magic touch!

Oli settle for Paul much quicker than when I do it too, I dont know why

Its cos they don't get nice milky from Daddies and think "No point playin' up here cos he ain't got nothin worth cryin for like Mummy!" lol
